Volt Meter Plug and Shocket-Outlet - IEC 60335-1

Equipment designed and developed for the test in paragraph 22.5 of IEC 60335-1 standard.

22.5 Appliances intended to be connected to the supply mains by means of a plug shall be constructed so that in normal use there is no risk of electric shock from charged capacitors having a rated capacitance exceeding 0,1 μF, when the pins of the plug are touched.

Compliance is checked by the following test.

The appliance is supplied at rated voltage. Any switch is then placed in the off position and the appliance is disconnected from the supply mains at the instant of voltage peak. One second after disconnection, the voltage between the pins of the plug is measured with an instrument that does not appreciably affect the value to be measured.

The voltage shall not exceed 34 V.

Make a test:

• First, check the setpoints on the equipment.
• Connect the equipment to be tested in the socket test.
• Position yourself on the screen No. 3 (home screen test).
• Press the Start button, and automatically the equipment start the test.
• Actuate the contactor that feeds power to the equipment under test.
• The equipment, start to discount the Time ON.
• After elapsed time of testing, the equipment under test will shut down, and the equipment start to deduct the waiting time.
• When it reaches 0, the equipment, measure the residual voltage left in the equipment under test, the display screen and a beep sounds indicating that the test is complete.
